December 7 – Angelic Warfare Confraternity Induction December 11/12

Angelic Warfare Confraternity
The Angelic Warfare Confraternity is a supernatural fellowship of men and women, young and old alike, bound to one another in love and dedicated to pursuing and promoting chastity and purity together under the patronage St. Thomas Aquinas and the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Angelic Warfare Confraternity is an official apostolate of the Dominican Order. Persons who wish to pray for the virtue of purity for others, or who themselves struggle with temptations against purity, have found great protection and fortitude in living out the virtue of purity as a member of the Angelic Warfare Confraternity. To become a member, a person must be inducted into the Confraternity by a Dominican priest, or by a priest who has received the faculties to do so directly from a member of the Dominican order. Fr Daniel, recognizing the great value of this Confraternity, has recently received the faculties to induct individuals into the Confraternity. Fr. Daniel will hold the first induction ceremony after all the Masses on the weekend of December 11/12 and will offer the induction several times a year. The prayers that a member commits to pray daily include 2 short prayers and 15 Hail Mary’s. These prayers and the 15 intentions for Hail Mary’s can be found on the below. This set of prayers only takes a few minutes, but the power behind them is unimaginable. Those who have struggles against purity have declared these prayers have assisted them in leaps and bounds in fighting the battle of reoccurring temptations and mental images against purity. All who belong to the Confraternity are praying for all the other members, which means as a member, you will have over a half million people praying for you every day.  This is such an amazing gift! No wonder the results are so astonishing. The culture of today’s society is attacking the very fabric of purity, a virtue that upholds the beauty and dignity of each person. Through the Angelic Warfare Confraternity, we have been given a weapon to join together and fight with the heavenly realm of the Angels and Saints.  The war about us is supernatural, so we must fight with spiritual weapons. Parents we encourage you to share this with your teens and commit to the Confraternity yourselves and join with over a half million people to pray for the purity of your children and family every day.  To learn more about the Angelic Warfare Confraternity go to https://awconfraternity.org/ or if you have any questions concerning the induction ceremony please contact Jackie Oberhausen at jackieo@olghfw.com<mailto:jackieo@olghfw.com>.

November 27 – Urgent Request

Pope Francis just issued this dissertation.
Let us all pray this:

Eternal Father, You have made the whole world stop walking for a while.
 You have forcibly silenced the noise that we have all created around us.
 You have made us bend our knees and ask for miracles.
 You closed Your Churches so that we realize how dark our world is without You in it.
 You humiliated the proud and powerful. The economy is collapsing, businesses are closing.
  We have been very proud to think that everything we have, everything we own, have been the result of our hard work.
  We have forgotten that it was Your grace, Your mercy, that made us who we are and has given us everything we have.
We are going around in circles looking for some cure for this disease, when in fact we need to humble ourselves and ask for guidance and wisdom only from You.
  We have been living our lives as if we are here on Earth forever, as if there is no Heaven, no Purgatory, no Hell.
  Perhaps this virus is actually Your way of purifying and cleansing our souls, bringing us back to You.
 Today, as these words travel the internet, may all who see them join their hearts and hands in prayer, asking for forgiveness, asking for healing and protection against this virus, but above all, asking that Your Holy and Divine Will be done and not ours.
 GOD we beg You, deliver us from all evil on Earth if it is Your will!
 Father, You have been patiently waiting for us to turn our faces to You, to repent of our sins. We are sorry to ignore Your voice!  Selfishly, sometimes we have forgotten that You are GOD!!  Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my house, but one word from you will be enough to heal me!
 You Lord only need to say the Word and our souls will be healed.
  We ask You for healing and deliverance in Jesus’ name! By the infinite merits of his Most Sacred Heart and of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Amen.
Pope Francis

November 16 – Opportunity to Fast for Levi

From 1:13pm today (Tuesday) until 1:13pm tomorrow (Wednesday) Levi’s mom will be fasting for the intention of Levi’s breakthrough and healing. She also asks for prayers for Charley as they go to Cincinnati for an evaluation.
From Megan, Levi’s mom:

I plan to only have water during this time but please know fasting does not have to be about food and can be anything you chose to eliminate that reminds you to pray.

About two months ago I decided to give up chocolate as an ongoing fast for Levi. I love chocolate, I ate it everyday and honestly in excess, so I decided to remove something that I loved as a reminder to pray for Levi. I’ll have chocolate again one day when Levi is healed
[??]. But I decided I wanted to do another 24 hour fast to refocus my prayers as we are approaching the 1 year anniversary. I’ll be praying hard for Levi’s breakthrough. Tomorrow I am also taking Charley to be evaluated by the voice clinic in Cincinnati so if you could add her to your prayers I would appreciate it- praying we find answers and direction to help her vocal quality.
I am honored and humbled by how many prayer warriors plan to join us tomorrow. This truly is helping to lift my spirits during such a hard month for me. Praying God gives us a sign that he hears our prayers and Levi will heal.
Again, thank you Joey for writing the below text to help walk us through our fast for Levi.
Daniel 9:3
So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting.
***There’s nothing wrong with seeking the lord and asking him to answer prayers quickly (David prayed this all the time in the Psalms), we know that it often takes time, patience and persistence to see the answer/miracle come through. The book of Daniel contains a powerful illustration of Daniel praying and fasting for 3 weeks, until an answer is given. The angel of the Lord tells him that as soon as Daniel started to pray, the answer had been given from heaven, but there was a war in the heavenlies that caused it to take longer to arrive. We often have no clue how much God is at work through our prayers.
Fasting is a sign of humility; a dependence on God. Although many believe fasting is denying oneself of food, it can actually include many other forms. If you wish to participate, you could also consider a 24 hour fast from sweets/snacking, coffee, social media, etc. Fasting and Prayer is a spiritual power. This gives Angelic help; God will send his angels to surround Levi and raise him up. #wakeuplevi<https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/wakeuplevi?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZVfwfYABZCfBs6herCy0Hsdz3MnKdlpcC8gf8VSiHeTHsikK1TdLLRW_XjzRwlm7g2QzsD5oi8CROCf19p6-zcI-oothELB0OF7qToxpJMFMgHATv2IP94ur8p2bGVzcUUxcG9lJtCO1Q4BE1NFkicd&__tn__=*NK-R>
Mark 9:22
“What do you mean if I can? Jesus asked “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
Begin the fast on your knees in prayer and worship. Separate yourself from your daily activities/world. Focus on God.
If you could begin by praying specifically for Levi’s breakthrough to come this week, a sign of healing and rebirth.
It is important to open your Bible and seek time with God.
DL Moody said, “When I pray, I talk to God, but when I read the Bible, God is talking to me; and it is really more important that God should speak to me than that I should speak to Him I believe we should know better how to pray if we knew our Bibles better.“
Throughout the day, open your Bible to meditate on His word; below are a few examples:
Romans 8
James 1:2-4
John 14
Matthew 17:20
Isaiah 45
Upon the end of the fast, seek the lord in Psalm 27.
May God show his blessing and favor over Levi and the family [??] [??]  In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus.

Each day, many young men and women risk their very lives to keep us safe. They sacrifice their time, their family life and sometimes their very lives to keep us free! Remember also, their loved ones who worry about them and have their lives put on hold while these dedicated people are away from them. Please remember these young men and women, and their loved ones, in your prayers. Lord, protect them and bring them safely home to the arms of those who love them!

Michelle – several special intentions

O Jesus, I pray for your faithful and fervent priests;
for your unfaithful and tepid priests;
for your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields;
for your tempted priests;
for your lonely and desolate priests;
for your young priests;
for your dying priests;
for the souls of your priests in purgatory.
But above all, I recommend to you the priests dearest to me:
the priest who baptized me;
the priests who absolved me from my sins;
the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion;
the priests who taught and instructed me;
all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way (especially …).
O Jesus, keep them all close to your heart,
and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity.
Amen.

Lord, bless America with your Peace, Unity, Understanding, and Charity!

We pray for these, each other, and all who need our prayers.

May our loving God bless you, those you love, and keep you safe!

Sharon
